The English people have always been hysterically censorious and prudish. The best of us left centuries ago to make a better life for themselves in the Americas.

@ronnietexan Yes. The English were entirely humourless in the Victorian era, loosened up a bit after WWII when there was a need to increase birth rates, but have been getting progressively worse since the 80s. I remember the humour in the 90s and early 2000s was incredibly cruel and crude, and it's morphed from there into a resurgence of reverse prudishness and reverse racism somehow.
