Maybe for a future video you can explore how to make autoinstall files, or use something like Ansible to automate installing your favourite software and changing desktop settings?

  6. I only 'need' Windows for running games. There is no Linux OS that can run these games as well as Windows does. Solution: get a console or grow up and stop playing games!

  43. There's no real need to avoid Windows 10 at this stage. You can opt out of all the M$ spyware, use a local account, and return to the Windows 7 start layout using (free) Classic Shell software. There's certainly some software that works in Win7 which won't under Win10, but using Wine isn't the solution :-)

  48. @Bobby That's not true for modern hardware and especially not true for older hardware. For older hardware that MS doesn't support, it is triply untrue.

  51. Manufacturers have an incentive to lock you into their proprietary hardware (as small as possible, stuck together with clue if necessary). You have to pay them to upgrade every 2 - 5 years as the planned obsolescence cycle dictates. This is, once again, convenience vs. freedom.
