Everyone is using frameworks now anyway - including with PHP, Ruby etc. It's just that Javascript has more frameworks than those other languages. But basically everyone is just hiding behind a big bloated framework these days and not actually writing any real code.

All the changes from PHP7 onwards have been about making PHP more like Java with deeper and deeper layers of OOP boilerplate and abstraction.

@LionMister Seems like you have partial knowledge and you're a casualty of ChatGPT. Ask it about server side events and Ajax in combination with PHP.

@god_bika Listen to yourself, brother. A space ship? You're creating websites, right? Just to be clear and make sure we're on the same page here. Can you explain to me why making websites needs to be made even more ostentatiously and decadently complicated than it already is? You're not writing code to put a man on the moon.
