Qatar may not be on the list of third world countries anymore but neither were we 60 years ago when homosexuality was still banned in the UK. Just as a large family’s kids are of different ages and maturity, counties of the world have matured to different timescales. We’d not have been particularly grateful to be criticised for our laws on homosexuality despite the last UK restrictions on it only being decriminalised in 2003. There are still people who have not ‘come out’ yet because they fear there’s stigma attached to it.

@DDHH616 don’t forget that in the christian world homosexuality is a sin against god. For centuries it has been considered a sign of the End Time. The UK abolished the death penalty for sodomy in 1861, it took America another 12 years, it took Germany another 82. That it is broadly accepted in western culture has only come about as man has replaced god with technology, so very recently as I said earlier. Now that’s spreading to the east. In 2020 Sudan abolished its sodomy law. So, you see, the world is changing. I do realise it’s a concept that’s difficult to grasp so I understand if you can’t
