  1. Sandy , sometimes you say things that make me scratch my head. 🤔, the reason that it’s allowed for aircraft and not cars are multiple; (i) there is a lot more redundancy on an aircraft ! An Airbus for example has five computers doing the FBW. ELACS and SECS. (ii ) the aircraft maintenance regime is so strict ! There is zero chance of some untrained monkey fucking it up. (There could be, in the car world) (iii) It doesn’t matter what the cost is of the aircraft flight control system… it’s designed to be trusted. The car designs have to comply with a strict budget.

  2. I’d love to be present when the actual designer watches this! (I assume he does ?) Either he hums gently “Exactly Sandy and Jordan, you totally understood why I did it that way… “ Or perhaps he bangs clenched fists on his desk and shouts “You idiots , don’t you realise we couldn’t to that because ….” I’d love to be a fly on the wall!
