  3. Inequality is at an all time high in the richest country in the history of the world, so there is not only a need for reparations but living wage and tax reform too. We rebuilt europe after a war, we rebuilt America after a great depression, we even rebuilt the banking sector after a great recession which they caused. We spent trillions of dollars doing nothing in Afghanistan and Iraq, but when comes to reparational justice we are all of a sudden broke in the richest country in the history of the world. An America that would not even exist if not for crimes against humanity.

  11. Your ancestors just like all non enslaved Americans benefitted from slavery because slavery was one of the biggest factors in the industrialization of the world. It supplied capital and material that led to innovations that benefitted everyone except the enslaved. Your ancestors and you have benefitted from every middle-class wealth building program in this country's history, programs that were denied or restriced to the enslaved and their descendants. It is not directly your fault or even desire but you certainly benefitted.

The proceeds from free labor funded the industrial revolutions in europe and USA; and made the South one of the richest areas in the world. Northern bankers, ship builders, and insurance companies flourished. The Atlantic triangle trade made USA and Europe most powerful conutries in the world, and decimated sub sahara Africa..

You and I know people who may have all those resources, but as a people we are the bottom group in every quality of life measure from education to income. The problem is we are on the verge as a group, because of automation and immigration, of becoming a permanent underclass. The reason being because we lack the generational wealth to access resources. The generational wealth other groups bring with them or were provided by government sponsered middle class building programs.
