@jacksonheathen2092 Of course you benefitted, its not the who is or got rich its the economy, and what it effects. Slavery produced cotton, tobacco, and Sugar and those commodities ignited the European and American industrial Revolutions, every american except the enslaved, benefitted. Texile factories in England and New England employed hundreds of thousands of people in the textile industry, 1000s of New Englanders built ships to transport cotton, slaves, rum, and tobacco; establishing the infamous slave based triangle trade route. The money trickles down. Beyond slavery Americans, other than most black americans who were usually excluded, benefitted from the Homestead acts, New Deal, fha, gi bill, best jobs, best schools, etc. America was designed for its majority male population, and they shared the fruits with their wives and children. For instance 90 million White Americans can trace the famiky's generational wealth to the homesread act. Millions of ww2 white GIs became middle class as a result of the Gi-bill, blacks especially thosebin the South, like my father, were restricted or denied altogether.
