  1. If Ukraine wins this, it will not be through a military victory or any significant military advance. It'll be won through the collapse of russian economy so it can no longer fuel its military. We are well on the way to that happening. To say this has been a stalemate for a year is simply to not understand what progress towards victory actually looks like in this war. Ukraine is well on the way to that victory and should be helped over the last hurdles. The clock is against the russians not Ukraine.

  2. Pre-war, 60% of russia's entire exports were fossil fuel products. And 85% of those exports were going to the EU via established (hence cheap) infrastructure. Simple math tells you what will happen to your economy if you throw all that away overnight.
