  1. There is a world of difference between cancel culture, and someone being fired for behaviour that is completely inappropriate and unacceptable for their job. Especially if that job is prominent in the public eye. The former is shameful, the latter is necessary.

  2.  @memoryroom6388  So if I go to work tomorrow and punch a fellow employee, and then get fired for it, I can put it down to me being a victim of cancel culture? I think not. I deserve that firing, just as Whoopi does. What she did was unacceptable in the job she is doing.
