  3. You answered yourself I think. The Black Sea is not land-locked. As for Russia projecting their assumptions onto others? Damn right. I mean put it this way, every single person who lives in every single NATO country knows that NATO would never initiate a hostile invasion against any other country, never mind Russia. Never. Yet the Russians remain super-paranoid about NATO's ambitions.
