  1. 1000 hours here. It's fantastic. Easily better than the current competition (I have 2000+ hours in most of the competition, lots more than that in PoE). The depth / build complexity is unparalleled in Last Epoch. Also, it has BY FAR the best, most deterministic crafting system I've ever seen in any game; absolutely wonderful.

  4. But inaccurate because you can also DIE. And that's why it isn't boring at all. How far can you push without dying? That's the whole damn point. Why else are you farming gear if there isn't an infinite scaling challenge to push yourself for.

People are mad at d4 because it is totally eclipsed by Last Epoch, which is superior in almost every single way imaginable and only has 1/10th of the budget and devs. (ps before anyone rages at me, I have 2000 hours in LE and 150 hours in D4 so I have experience a ton of both games). There's simply no contest; LE is BY FAR the better game.

  8. I have been saying it for some time but it's worth repeating: there is simply no point in playing D4 while Last Epoch exists. I've played 3000 hours of LE to date, and 500 hours of D4 for the record. This is easily a D4 killer. Absolutely no contest. For me LE is the best ARPG right now. The depth of the build options, the deterministic crafting, the itemisation.... everything is fantastic in this game and it blows D4 away as the irrelevant tosh it is. Only PoE has a more developed endgame than LE but LE is catching up fast. Best ARPG out there. Grim Dawn fans are especially encouraged to try this as it has a similar vibe and complexity and shares that special developer love that you can tell the moment you start playing.

  9. Pretty much ANY modern day ARPG would ruin Diablo 4 for anyone who gave them a go. Personally I rate both Grim Dawn and Last Epoch over PoE. And all 3 I rate way above D4, obviously.

  15. I'll hazard a guess... and it's only a guess mind you.... is it because it's crap? And for the record, 500 hours is nothing in an ARPG if it's decent. I have 3000+ hours in PoE, Grim Dawn and Last Epoch and those were contiguous in all cases. I don't do seasons, no need because I only play ARPGs where the BASE GAME is SOLID enough to justify 1000+ hours.

  17. The challenge is to be found in World Tier 4. Anything else is delaying getting to that challenge and is utterly pointless. Reduce that pointless time.

  18. Last Epoch gameplay RIGHT NOW blows D4 away. Why are we surprised at this? I could demonstrate a dozen of my current builds that are just so far advanced compared to any build in D4 they would blow D4 players out the room if they saw them in action. Example: I currently run 4 different Necromancers and their gameplay is completely different from each other.

  20. I tend to agree that D4 is good. Bottom line. Agreed. My dilemma is this: D4 is good, sure but Last Epoch is absolutely excellent. There is just no reason whatsoever to play D4 when Last Epoch exists.

  24. Just wanted to mention, that the "bug" that is causing the very long loading screens has been plaguing the game for over a year now. This is not a new problem. Worse than usual right now yes sure; new issue, no. Don't let the release fool you. They've had AGES to deal with this.
