  1. I spent a LOT of time working in the US, mostly in California, between 1990 and 2005, and as a resident of Scotland, I was appalled by how much of a 3rd world country the US actually is. The quality of life in Scotland is far superior in almost every way. Genuine shocker, as you imagine the US is the leading country of the first world. It is in fact, a sh*t hole, at least compared to the UK.
