  2. I've seen this technique before. Rehearse a small set of answers verbatim. Then if any question comes up that even remotely matches your answer set (e.g they have a few words in common) and then just spout your rehearsed answer, not even being aware that you didn't even answer the question that was asked. Unfortunately everyone else in the room is acutely aware.
