  1. Nor can you have a serious conversation unless the person condemns the Hamas attack. You need to establish that moral compass first and totally ignore anyone who refuses, as failing to condemn that immediately devalues anything they might have to say. The very fact Piers needs to ask that is the shocker here, as it should go without saying, yet it does not, and many of his guests refuse to do so.

No amount of years of oppression justify Hamas' massacre of civilians like that. Nothing does. The very fact Piers has to ask his guests whether they condemn Hamas' attack is the shocking thing in all of this. It should go without saying.
