  1. When this city falls, Vlad the Failer will claim this was his plan all along and he has achieved his victory. He will then sue for peace having won some new territory. He must not be allowed to do this or we are in serious trouble going forward. I hope the entire Ukrainian army and weapons tech are heading in that direction to sort the Russians out.

  2.  @Swediron  Russia will sue for peace the moment Mariupol falls. And if they are given it, this will indeed be a victory for Russia. They will have more territory than before the war, Putin can save face and even look heroic and glorious, and he can also make further demands while wearing the disguise of the wise old peace-offerer. This must NOT be allowed and I hope the Ukrainians hold out until every Russian soldier has left their sovereign territory, including Crimea or lies dead in it.

  3. Indeed, this will deliver new morale and determination to the Ukrainians. And of course all the Russia targets are conveniently in the same area now, allowing the superior tech to take them out more efficiently.
