  1. I am Polish and I know that people who survived the war often did not want to talk about it, it was too difficult for them. I used to hold a grudge against them for that, but as I get older I understand this approach better. I know the case of a woman who fought in the Warsaw Uprising and after the war she lived in Augustów - a different city, because every street in Warsaw reminded her of the nightmare of the war. May America survive this onslaught of lawlessness and ignorance and emerge stronger from it.
