  1. Covid HAS been a "piddling little affair", at least in health terms. Furlough was outrageous and not affordable. 300 billion? I despair of politicians: I despair of "economists". They don't seem to know what they are at. "The road to Weimar"? I have been saying about the UK's future, in a general way, "we are shafted". Not as erudite an expression, but essentially meaning the same.
