  1. Phew! Thank you! Fascinating stuff! I find it impossible to relate meaningfully these interesting facts with the current state of England. The Brexit referendum of 2016 seems to be the single occasion upon which people of the UK were truly able to freely express their opinion and thereby bring it into implementation. Ever since, the powers that be, in Parliament, the BBC, and other national institutions have, quite openly and shamelessly, tried to thwart the result.
