French training programs in cooperation with Peru and India have experience in converting mig 29 pilots to mirage 2000s
80
Note that a large number of the Ukrainian troops are wearing UK uniforms and plate carriers. That may suggest that they were the troops that were sent for training at the start of the summer. And more are set to come back mid autumn.
44
Poland is a big country, big enough to bury a invaders army.
34
Wonder if Ukrainian could convert their mig-29 two seaters trainers into heavy missile carriers. I know Slovakian migs can carry agm-84 harpoons, and that the trainers have no radar giving them extra weight capacity. You could have a gunner using a tablet integrated targeting system in the the rear seat feeding targeting info to the missile before launch while the pilot gets them close to target. Just a thought
33
@Aqua Fyre yeah, so why have they been pouring weapons into Ukrainian army then? If they wanted territory they would has rushed while Russia was at kyiv. But instead they have been feeding kit to the UA, and allowing Ukrainian troops to train in their lands. Poland doesn't want land, but does want to see Russia suffer.
23
The iron dog was in fairness a good low altitude fighter that found itself in a mid-high altitude airforce. When placed in the right conditions would often compared favorably with bf-109f and fw-109a.
19
Poland will be the next major power
18
@aaronlopez492 thank you my friend, but if I say nothing then someone may believe him. Evil must be challenged every were it takes root, or else it grows
17
This is why I respect poland and uk.
17
I mean yes, organ harvesting and labor camps are still horrible. Plus even more inhumane treatment of prisoners
14
@huwzebediahthomas9193 yes, the Chinese government doesn't hid the camps, what they do, or to who. They have even been condemned by the human rights committee over this issue
13
@FinsburyPhil I don't think Poland has a choice. The Germans can't even equip themselves let alone Poland right now, and America is already giving away tanks as fast as it can to all its allies. Korea has a massive armed industry and is a friendly state. I think they will phase out the leopard and Abrams over time, and this mess is most likely a stop gap until further notice
12
I just want the people that were my enemy to find peace. I hate those that continue to be a part of these organizations (ISIS and Taliban), but if they want to leave that behind and move on then I see no reason why not to let them try?
12
@dotEXCEI_ and the German army is doing great with all that money, except having no aircraft carriers, smaller tank force, smaller air force, infantry lacking tents unlike france. Hell France pays less something like 6 billion euros less the Germany on defense, and yet has a fleet with two aircraft carriers. Also it has been 30 years since the wall came down, don't say you could not have built or bought one in that amount of time.
11
Russia by the account of the neutral oryx site Russia had lost far more planes then Ukraine. That is only counting confirmed losses via photographic/video evidence supplied by civilian, Russian, and Ukrainian sources. Ukraine still has and will continue to have a airforce.
10
Poland
10
@z_actual you shoot it with a missile and call it a day, like in the cold war.
10
@Tiberiotertio yeah try that, see what happens
10
@Broadsword999 I was meaning French instructors have experience with this kind of training program, not that India would aid in it. Sorry for the confusion.

Bradley, challenger 2, Abrams m1a1, leapord 1a5, tow Humvees, and hellfire missiles: looks like meats back on the menu boys!
9
@dotEXCEI_ and yet you have supplied nothing in the way of tanks. Your men are well trained and economy is strong, but Germany's military procurement is lacking. There was a recent problem of getting enough tents for the infantry, because of the government's overly bureaucratic process.
8
How the hell did call of duty call this 20 years ago?
8
@z_actual yes, that's why the next reaper will have sidewinder, self defense is also allowed in international waters
8
@Aqua Fyre even Wagner called the sell of a himar bull shit. Ukraine has all of them and uses them around the clock
8
@Aqua Fyre f-35 is fifth generation, and the Abrams is as old but better the the t-80, t-72, and let's be honest here the t-72 update that is the t-90. Russia has a total of 6 su-57, America has produced 180+ f-22 and 800+ f-35. Get back when Russia has a army that is mostly equipped with night vision.
7
Well we did give nazi solider a chance after ww2, so why not at this point
7
So Pakistan... you reap what you sow.
7
Already be killing buk and tor systems. It has made a difference already
7
@Aqua Fyre you do know the polish forces stated in the English army right? They were given retirement in Scotland in the 50s. Hell you can see pictures of them in Korea. Also how is the Soviet union doing?
7
As long as he shows the large supply of weapons Russia donated to Ukraine in the March on Kyiv
7
@roo72 I mean with emergency funding Poland is to spend 50 billion on defense. Himar order would total 2.5 billion, and the Korean tanks would be about what 20-30 billion. Also I feel a lot of those polish tanks sent to Ukraine were paid for in dollars if you catch my drift. I could also be completely wrong so just take this as some guy on the internets two cents.
7
Welp this is terrifying
7
@huwzebediahthomas9193 well at the same time it is also pow. They should not have been abused but also had kinda put themselves into the situation of being held without Trial. I think that the problem of reinterpreting these men will be difficult but not impossible by any means
6
Fuck yeah we should have, hell his sales to Ukraine in 2018 of javelins saved kyiv.
6
Note that Russia doesn't have a over all commander of the Ukrainian war, it is split into a northern theater and southern theater of command. And both generals hate each other.
6
Honestly I think poland could take Germany right now, the army has fallen that far.
6
@dotEXCEI_ didn't Germany have to strip three divisions of kit to out fit one properly to preform a NATO exercise?
6
This is Soviet kit, modern Russian kit difference in quality is notable
6
You do realize that this was do with a Chinese manpads right?
6
The saber has a few mig 21 under its belt from the 1971 war
5
@dotEXCEI_ yes after NATO states like Germany to meet their responsibilities. America is in a alliance, not a protection racket. And now Germany is starting to realize it should have listened in 2018.
5
@dotEXCEI_ oh don't give me that, last I check Greece is also apart of that and they have over a thousand tanks. We asked Germany to rearm, and they refused
5
@Aqua Fyre and who was still standing in 45 Germany or the free polish army?
5
@friedtomatoes4946 well TDF forces are being sent to Denmark, Sweden, UK, Finland, and the Netherlands for training so the problem may fix itself soon enough.
5
When you were in the ypg what was your supply situation? Did you guys get regular supply drops from the coalition, or was it live off the land mostly?
5
Kyiv how the war is going, I would not be shock in nations like Bulgaria became a massive artillery shell producer to feed Ukraines 152mm artillery park.
5
@williamjackson5942 and how did the current president do when faced with Russian agression before the war started, oh yes I think he said "Putin will not invade because he is afraid of me". How did that work out. For all of trump's many faults, I should have voted for him in a second term because what we got was the largest mistake of my life.
4
For the republic, la revolution
4
i am curious to see how long the junta can last with the situation deteriorating at this rate.
4
She has lived a long life, time for her to move on. I hear the Greeks want them for island defense.
