@OverlySarcasticProductions would Liberia count, it was more akin to a mass migration of former slaves/ free men into a new aquired land then a colonial venture. It kind reminds me of the foundation of Croatia by slavic tribes that except subjugation of the avar khanate, only to push out or subjugate the local vlac population in the area.
