I have always loved and related to robot characters in story's. I have a very severe form of autism, this has always left me with a mind that operates like a organic computer with a photographic memory and left me at a lost when it came to understanding emotions, cultural costumes, sarcasm, etc. It wasn't until I was 12 that I started to be more human like. At first it was just me reacting stimulation in the manner I saw (like smiling when everyone else was), and later on coming to understand and relate to the emotions i was trying to have. So when I get to see a character like that in a story, it gives me a great sense of nostalgia and a mirror to reflect on how far I have come in being human.
