  2. Come on, the AfD are not far right at all, no matter what they say on TV. Meanwhile, Die Linke are in the Parliament and Die Grünen are in the government. Those people are actual Communists. We are in this mess largely due to Germany’s extreme reliance on Russian gas… which is caused largely by the “green” movement towards intermittent (unreliable) energy sources that have to be backed by gas power plants because they are the only ones that can be switched on and off as fast as necessary. The more wind and solar in the German grid, the more gas is necessary. Recently, huge industrial sized batteries have become a realistic alternative to a few of the gas plants but it is a very recent development and the batteries can’t be produced anywhere near fast enough to make a difference. Why? What was wrong with nuclear? Nothing, and that’s exactly why Putin’s minions (who had other Kremlin owners before him) spent so many decades maligning it.
