My impression is that Switzerland wants the right to do continuous “Rosinenpickerei” regarding any part of the agreement at any point in the future as often as they like and with next to no warning. Because “muh referenda”. The EU quite sensibly says no. Then Switzerland thought they could take their ball and go home and that would get them a better deal. It won’t. I guess the Swiss think they are holding all the cards...
