@SubjectiveFunny We are doing extremely little in Denmark. "Our" Syrians are not leaving on their own accord and we aren't doing much to force them. (Not that I think they should all leave... some Syrians are ok. Most are not.)

Sweden did everything to integrate its Muslims except using force and no free money. Finland wasn't (and isn't) really all that much smarter. There was just much less free money and lax criminal jurisprudence in Finland + Finland was poorer.

@autarchyan5426 Not as good as it used to be. Russia has its own problems, of course. In all four countries, you should be prepared for learning a new language. Your wife, too, unless she is fluent in Russian and you go to either Russia or one of the Russian enclaves in the Baltics... but then she will become part of the problem in the Baltics. Denmark has a funny labour market. Most jobs require Danish, except at the low end (where you sometimes need to know an immigrant language) and the high end (where good English is a prerequisite even for the native Danes). If you decide to move to Denmark, make sure you make an effort to build a group of friends and acquaintances. You won't get them automatically. Watch youtube videos by immigrants (not Somalis, Arabs, Turks, ...) who have already made the jump.

And they would commit zero crime if they were locked up until they could be kicked out -- parachuted from a plane, if need be, or thrown into the ocean (with a life vest on) close to the African coast.

Nope. America got much better Turks than Germany. It also got much fewer of them. Quantity matters. So does quality. Sweden got much of the former and little of the latter.

@autarchyan5426 maybe a job at Novo for you? Plenty of engineering companies in and around Copenhagen for her. Sjælland is very lopsided: the Western/Southern parts are rural, the Eastern/Northern parts are not. The richest part is what we call Nordsjælland but it is really the Northeastern part. Houses are expensive there compared to just outside that part. Some areas there are not as nice as one would expect because of homegrown lower class people and imported people. An example is Nivå, which has a large bad area because a (Conservative) mayor wanted to do good 40-50 years ago and built cheap houses. It’s quite close to Hørsholm (an expensive, posh city) and the Nivå problems sometimes spillover to there. Maybe look for a place outside the expensive region and commute by car. There are good websites about houses/flats, what to do and expect as an immigrant here, public services, tax rules, laws in general, jobs, etc. Good luck, wherever you go (except Russia).

The EU does what its member states says. If enough member states come to their senses, the EU won't interfere. If even more come to their senses, the pressure from the EU will suddenly be on the dumb member states. The EU is nothing like the central government in Beijing or the Federal government in DC. The EU is a consensus building machine owned and controlled by the member states collectively.

Some idiots in Western Europe "attacked" (=criticized) Poland for having a less idiotic immigration policy. What Poland was actually attacked for was the single-party semi-dictatorial extra-legal corrupt rule of the PiS party -- and we were all right about that.
