@jacobconcannon4677 it gave Britain time to rearm. Chamberlain was all about rearming but of course history has forgotten that. What he said must also be seen in the light of WW1 which only became a world war because the UK decided to pile on after Germany had to defend itself against France by going through France’s “neutral” vassal Belgium. It didn’t really go well for the UK.

He is lying through his teeth -- his party had turned the public TV station into a party propaganda station. The management of the station were all party loyalists. Of course they had to go in order to turn Poland back into a proper democratic country.

No, he is lying about the TV station. He and his party had turned it into a party propaganda channel. The new government is liberating it so Poland can have free media again. They will also have to dismantle the special court that the previous government made (filled with party loyalists and of dubious legality). He tried very hard to turn Poland into a one-party state. If he talks about (Muslim) immigration, he is completely correct. It is a threat to all of Europe. There is no sign, though, that the new government wants to repeat the mistakes of Western Europe.
