  5.  @peterwilliams2152 they died due to Stalin’s incompetence and malice. He even killed lots of Russians (etc) after the war who had been captured by the Germans and returned (unwillingly) to the Soviet Union. Very, very few people volunteered to live there.

  9. @ yeah, you said you used ffmpeg. That makes you weird but not really a techie. Chinese GPUs are no match for anything from NVidea (or AMD or Intel). They have some for ARM CPUs (I think they are all derived from western designs — or they ARE western designs). China also doesn’t have much in the sense of AI training chips. Russia is not going to do much with AI. GPUs are not that useful for large-scale crypto, ASICs are better. Stick to economics.
