  1.  @minerran  The Americans fought on the right side there, just like they did in Korea. Some of the things the US did in later wars are debatable but the only recent-ish thing where the US was as clearly in the wrong as Russia is now is the First World War. Helping the UK help France and Russia beat Germany and Austria-Hungary was not the right thing to do.

  3. Dima, if you are reading this… buying your way out of Russia was probably the best investment of your entire life. Learning English really well might be your second best. There are plenty of Russian (and Ukrainian) YouTubers who use English. Ask people which ones they think are easy to understand and which ones sound pleasant and which ones don’t. The funny thing is that you can have a really strong accent and still be super easy to understand and pleasant to listen to. The guy called “The Russian Dude” is a good example! Andrew is an example of someone who doesn’t have a strong accent. There is a Russian mathematician who lives in the US and who has been interviewed on the Numberphile podcast who has a super pleasant accent. Just a few pointers to get you started… your English doesn’t have to be perfect, it’s more important that it is pleasant to listen to.
