We already pay much, much more.

@marioferreira7605 no, they should not be kicked out. All member states have EU law that they don’t quite follow and a lot of them have problems with biased media that is friendly to certain parties. A lot of them have corruption problems (mainly the excoms and Club Med). A lot have courts I don’t quite trust. Many have an administration and a legal system (or sometimes even laws) that make the citizens second rate people in their own countries... All in all, I’d rather have Poland’s problems than Germany’s, Sweden’s, or Club Med’s. I still think the PiS party is awful and I hope Civic Forum returns to power soon.

@DanA-nl5uo Yes, but humanity cannot survive at its present size and with its present wealth without enormous quantities of energy -- which we currently largely get from fossil fuels. Ditching those fossil fuels immediately would lead to mass starvation and die off (and a wealth lower than that of most African countries). Transitioning to renewable energy is pretty much impossible for now, because we don't have proper electricity storage facilities. Sure, they will get there, once we can produce giant batteries cheaply enough. Sure, Tesla is doing its best. Still, it will take years, possibly decades, before we are there. We can build nuclear power plants much, much faster than that -- and we can turn Germany's existing power plants back on even faster. That nuclear energy is expensive or that nuclear power plants take long to build is only true in the current artificial political and regulatory climate. The underlying science and economics clearly show that nuclear energy should be cheap and power plants quick to build. Lock the "greens" up for treason and you'll be astonished how fast things can improve.

@DanA-nl5uo err, what? That’s clearly not what I wrote.

@DanA-nl5uo so you heard that solar and wind electricity is economical? Cheap, even? Did you also hear that it only looks that way because the energy market is regulated (perverted) so they can dump their energy when there’s too much of it (and we are forced to buy it and pay other producers for not producing) and they can freely stop delivering anything when there’s no wind or at night? If the energy market wasn’t so perverted, it wouldn’t look like they were cheap and secure energy sources.

@DanA-nl5uo and you sound “green”. You also seem to be well-versed in “economics”.

Hodges deserves a better interviewer than this one.

@drnota472 So? If they don't kill their officers, they are guilty.

The US was right to attack WHO (and its leadership). But this?! This is downright criminal! :(
1
I had not expect the US to fall that far towards a "managed democracy" so fast :(
1
There isn't. Simple as that.

Say hi to Putin from me.
