Sometimes they do good. Our Chief of Police in our little town of 3,000 single-handed took out an armed factory shooter within 10 minutes after he got there. The shooter had killed 3 and wounded about a dozen others. He was still shooting people when the cop took him down. When the other police got there, they went right in to back him up. But they were brave men.....so.

See how hard her husband "fought" to get to his dying wife? Hey, Reuben, no, no. He had his piece earlier. He hung back when the others tried to get closer. He really shouldn't be cop.

They do know people are dying while they hang out, right?

Never have so many done so little with so much with so much at stake.

There are still real men out there. It's sad there weren't any for these poor people. I'm a vet, and I've been shot at before, though. If it had been me and I was dying in there, that shooter wouldn't know what hit him, if my husband was there. I think there may be a lack of good training in play here, though. Can you imagine that poor woman inside after telling her husband she's shot, waiting for him to help her? Those poor kids. RIP to those who died.

@DrCristina1997 Didn't see a picture of him locked in a police car. Where is that? Maybe he is showing a sign of trauma now. Which indicator of trauma was he showing on any of the numerous videos did he show? He looked slightly nervous in the hall before the bulk of the cops got there, and then hung back when they made an attempt to get closer.

@omiztiff Those standing around were trying to help and offering help, but were told to stand down by the local police. I don't know if there was more they could do without the local okay. It was not a federal event. The law enforcement outside were not the problem. It was the ones inside and their Chief.

Just because you want benefits is a selfish reason. If you can't do the job, get the hell out! They are putting lives at stake. Stop defunding the police. You pay for cheap, you get cheap.

@jaydee2620 I would certainly have done my utmost to take down that shooter. But then, I'm a veteran and have been shot at before. If I can take one for a buddy, I can take one for a child or unarmed civilians. I can always TRY. Not one officer took a bullet. Bravery is not being fearless, but overcoming fear. These officers inside that building and their superiors calling the shots need heavy weeding and more training, with a review of their standing orders and command.

@JackieG717 Shut up. You don't know what you're talking about. I don't know, maybe for you there won't be.

@Automaton_unit No. This is one town.
