  3. ​​ @SoWhosGae  The death penalty is a deterrent to crime. The executed never again commit a crime, unlike even lifers who regularly commit crimes in prison, on parole and on release. A deterrent to others might be more effective if the death penalty were carried out promptly after a reasonable time allowed for arguments.

  7. ​ @ScottA2345  The officials used their authority and and the Kennedys used their influence to lessen every consequence and subvert justice. That is glossing over by authorities and the Kennedy political machine.
