A friend of mine is an introvert, and they met me purely because they thought I was cool, (I'm really not, I'm a big dork), and they just blurted out that they liked my tattoos and let the extrovert that I am take it from there. They told me once, that it was their challenge to do when they bought someone was interesting to just do it no matter how hard. And we're still good friend to this day.

  2. When the Oldest Child leaves home and never comes back to you no matter what you go through, don't be surprised that you're the source of the issue. The only problem is, like any toxic or narcissistic (or both) person, these types of parents will NEVER see themselves in the wrong, not even when called out, it takes a lot for them to realize it. And when the oldest doesn't care about the Father like he will his mother, yeah, don't be surprised.

  4. Brilliant job Dad. I laughed but also felt bad for the little guy. But I do understand the use of honorifics as I grew up in Asian culture.

  5. And then the issue goes into gaslighting. It's AWESOME that his Mom is standing up for him, though. That will come back to bless her. It always helps when you have at least one parent who has faith in you and understands you to the best of their ability.
