The excuse of low birth rate makes zero sense and points to more of the un-evovlement with the times. If birth rate is an issue, why bother granting any able bodied male exemption at all? BTS have all said that when they're called, they're going; From outsiders looking in, it seems wholly unfair that the band have to serve at all given the achievements they've gotten, the prestige they've brought to the country, the representation of Korean Culture, and the contribution to the country's economy while others who many KNets have said they don't even know have gotten exemption. If any opposition was worried about the rules becoming too lax, then define the rules for the KPop world, what constitutes such notable achievements that exemption can be granted and taken? Aren't they the law makers? Figure it out.
