I heard "this unbelievable Russian Dude"; moved to America first; then (your) Canada and I would not be surprised if his "I joined the army" piece is "photo-shop". I hope the Canadian IRS catch up with this chap... I didn't stay long but I very much liked Toronto, Canada. Have a nice day!

@georgevindo Well it doesn't sound like he picked up any kind of Canadian, or American, accent on his travels; just a rather bizarre "Hollywood Russian" act; I lived in Moscow (in 1992') he's definitely not from there. I would say David McCallum (who played Illya Kuryakin in The Man from UNCLE) sounds more Russian and he's from Glasgow.

@georgevindo While I agree with you about retaining strong accents and that this affects English pronunciation, also worth mentioning that Russian even has letters we don't have (one like the "ch" in Loch Ness); I firmly believe this chap is just a bad actor "putting on an act". After a year in Moscow I was told I speak Russian like an English spy (which I took as a compliment); they clearly knew I wasn't from there and I know he isn't from there. It's not only that peculiar accent and preaching "sedition" (hatred of native country); he doesn't seem to think like an Eastern European (talks about money far too much); doesn't speak in their terms or hold the same priorities. That is why I question this individuals integrity. While those willfully distributing misinformation for material gain, which I think he is doing, I regard as evil and so that would define him my sworn enemy. It's very corrosive to the concept of free speech, spreading lies and preaching hatred; I'm amazed this comment section accept this individual as credible; seems hate "sells". I'm not "buying it". Should change his handle to "The Unbelievable Russian Dude" and just use the acronym (imo). I like the Russians; I don't like him. I call fake!

On this site; I could well believe that; but I think instead Russia just burnt off millions of dollars on gas on the EU border, because they could (so pretty much the same thing).

@cristo6007 You must be some "globalist stooge" then: the Rouble didn't crash it's always been a soft currency; not a store of value (it was 1450/$1 at one point), but nobody much uses $/Rouble these days (and Russia doesn't accept oil payments in dollars; that era is over). "Trillions lost" is some Western conceit; Russia just crossed off $23 billion in African debt; offers low cost grain (what Ukraine exported 3% for free); oil and gas exports up (to India and China) it's obviously not all about "the money" (like here). Now what has the EU lost since America got involved in Eastern Europe...? (I'll tell you): oil; gas; fertilizer and grain, plus another refugee crisis. America has lost the petrodollar. So I wouldn't worry about Russia, they are still a major exporter; btw ever seen a Rouble? While it's interesting to watch America "play" the E.U. (and their own taxpayers).

I agree; "the unbelievable Russian Dude" is on everyday trying to sell: hatred; "fake news" and freely available clips; even a bad comedy act, under "clickbait" titles, for an audience that tell a lot of "lame" jokes. I'm all for free speech, but this type of parasitic behavior undermines that concept and while this is not the only: ex-crypto salesman; now selling hate and based in Canada do the audience really believe he's on any side except his own bank-balance? Preaches hatred (allegedly) against his own former country; (allegedly) reveals Ukrainian logistics; repeats "It's over" like a stuck record; but does seem to have found a target audience. Yes, war-profiteering seems an accurate description. Donations to the conflict (I'm sure my government is already doing that on my behalf); the same body that can't seem to run an economy properly, but try to lecture others; with a media that talks them up and others down. I stopped believing them and their crony capitalist "globalist" model some time ago; with rules (many of which they wrote in their favour and they often can't seem to follow) that basically say, "we win, you lose". Well I've had enough of that: Russia China and India seem to have had enough of it; so I would request people write to their elected representative and request their "lethal aid" (it's our money isn't it?) See how that goes... As for this chap; I doubt he has any integrity; like the increasingly far-right neocons of America it's all about the money (diverting public money to their latest "cause") when they clearly have a very poor understanding of money (they just want it). If blatant fraud is acceptable; willfully peddling misinformation for material gain; then I've found my enemy. While I found: Russia; America and China to be fascinating places full of interesting people; complex and varied cultures, yet here comes the braying mainstream media (msm) praising our rotten leadership and talking other's down; I really do think the msm and bad actors (like this chap) are the enemy within. There is a lot of fanaticism about, but it should be pointed out that a lot of people/countries don't care about: Trump; America's interests or fears; the NWO (globalism) because it doesn't related to them or just gets in the way. It should be clear by now that the President (Biden; Putin or Trump) doesn't make the "big decisions" (it's more a committee decision); as evidenced by America's foreign policy staying pretty much the same through various administrations; America gets involved in a lot of foreign conflicts and invariably puts it's economic interests first and last. The list of American enemies is quite long, but it seems Russia and China currently top the list; now here comes the President and the corporate media to tell you why... Why hundreds of billions of public money are being exported to a notoriously corrupt country that is not a NATO, or EU member, while poverty and homelessness here rises... While things work differently in Russia, it's fairly certain it's not Putin, it's Russia that invaded the mainly Russian speaking Eastern regions of Ukraine in 2022. It was already explained to those who listened that Russia and Ukraine had a deal; it involved division of assets; leases; tariffs; independence, on condition of neutrality. This deal had Western co-signatories but since it was all USSR assets being divided; it wasn't really their deal and after they started sending billions: buying land; installing bio-labs; making odd oil deals; in the name of "aid" or "investment" they clearly wanted Ukraine to give up neutrality and join EU and or NATO. The 2014 Ukrainian government "sold out". I only have a limited knowledge of Russia during the breakup of USSR; but if we ignore the msm narrative; it's not about money; this is about a broken agreement. It is a failed argument, by the way: that sending weapons saves lives; sending money to corrupt countries helps people, or that NATO interventions save lives (to many dead civilians). We could also remark that tanks are a 20th century weapon; without air cover vulnerable, but these are military matters and in land war I defer to Russia and Germany. I wouldn't think to question the ability or individual heroism of professional soldiers; or get involved in other people's disputes (particularly if it doesn't relate to me, or this place. When I was employed to deal with heavily armed groups; it is potentially fatal to break agreements; but they had to know, this is my house; my rules; otherwise start your own casino. Now casino's are banned in Russia; hedge-funds ejected; the Rouble is soft; monthly wage $200!?); if you hear talk of millions and billion it's not Russia it's rich persons club. Let's be clear; there was no mistake in Russia reacting; they issued warnings; fired the traditional warning shot and then Russia annex Crimea by referendum (their rules, their house). So I agree, it's not about one tank; but some weapons manufacturer will need to change their Wiki entry. What's it doing there is more the question? Again, Russia issued warnings; fired a warning shot (siege of Kyiv/Kiev); negotiations failed (in Turkey); so they withdrew then invaded (regions Ukraine had been shelling for 8 years). No mistake; while other former USSR states had joined the EU or NATO or both; Russia make it abundantly clear if Ukraine gave up neutrality "there would be hell to pay". Well this is what it looks like, funded by our taxes and the lives of people in a country some commentators can't even find on the map; they don't speak or think in the language. Since I firmly believe Russia will not stop; what's in this for you? defending a broken agreement made by others? I know what's in it for this parasite, but what's in it for you?
