It already happened with foreign corporations amassing millions of hectares of prime farmland (according to Oakland Institute); buying industrial land and building: grain loading facilities; farms and over 40 bio-labs (according to Pentagon). It's likely they had a controlling interest in the pipeline (with the EU gas supply) since all the interest from America and alternatives (mysteriously) destroyed and then there's the rebuilding contract. I don't know about the mineral deposits Lindsay Graham mentioned, but it seems "The West" is fighting for corporate interests; not all the other reasons given. By 2020 foreign corporations controlled Ukraine's agriculture sector (and that really annoyed EU farmers, who know how to protest).
