I'm assuming those "Western interests" were appreciative of Ben Wallace's help and the UK weapons donations; maybe even hinted he was looking good for NATO general secretary, then decided to stick with Jens Stoltenberg (who has held the position since 2014). This might explain Ben's: talk of ingratitude; unflattering appraisal of Braverman and decision to get out of politics. The UK military has been subject to cuts such as closure of Portsmouth naval dockyard and contracts given to the lowest bidder; so the what have you done for us lately (?) approach may have inspired Ben to fire back. However there are strong arguments that the UK government should consider UK border security before Ukrainian; that money and weapons should not be exported to corrupt countries and with America so invested in war with Russia (or their other enemy China) that the UK might be better just letting them get on with it. UK back of the queue for trade with America, now that's ingratitude!
