No, Fico just called the Ukrainian leader a scrounger and claimed he is trying to force European countries to see it his way, by not renewing gas contracts, with Russia. There might be some truth in that; Ukraine's problems are not Slovakia's problems and they won't be coerced... so get used to that.

Russia wants the Western interests out of Ukraine; while these Western interests wanted to control: Ukrainian agriculture; the EU gas supply and the interest on money loaned (that Ukraine will never be able to pay back). It seems clear that Russia knows what motivates the Western oligarchs; it's money, so they're burning it. It's not about: land; gas or rare-earth minerals, or marching on Berlin for Russia; if Ukraine wasn't neutral it was war (and I don't believe Trump has anything Russia needs).

Sounds more like those behind the American government are the poisonous thread as: they've funded a war in Ukraine; a slaughter in Gaza; were involved in the overthrow of the Syrian government (a country where American troops still occupy 20% of the country; the oil fields), likely turning it into another Islamic state, under Sharia law (as they did with Libya). The new leader of Syria had/has a $10 million bounty on his head; the leader of Venezuela $25 million, that "Wild West" ideology doesn't seem to work. The "delusional" head of a Russian bank, is likely correct that the SWIFT mechanism and dollar as reserve currency is no use to Russia and other countries. While the leader of Slovakia Fico has described the leader of Ukraine as a scrounger that is trying to coerce European countries into seeing it Ukraine's way (subjective) Fico is correct that Ukraine's problems are not Slovakia's problem; he's the leader of Slovakia and not renewing Russian gas contracts is designed to cause Europe problems. While the "tyrannical" Ivanishvili regime were democratically elected and the former President trying to overturn the result failed to do so (so democracy won). If there's no docking at Tartus, then Russian forces will remain in Syria; maybe that's by design. However the common thread is the American neocons (on their way out). Good riddance!
