I don't believe OJ killed them; but I believe he knows who did. Let me put it this way... If you were a famous person, known on sight from sports and the movies and you had just shot two people dead (one your ex-wife); what would you do next? There are a few standard options available and a few more besides; but would you... (a) Hand yourself in. (b) Make a break for the border. (c) Liquidate assets; get to the airport and fly to a country with no extradition treaty. (d) Drive slowly around LA with all the police and media following you; a gun to your head. (e) Find someone else to take the rap. (f) get an alibi; quick! If I'm correct and OJ was acting as a decoy while the real murderer escaped, then this: restores Joe's faith that superstars don't do bad things (they just cover up bad things, by obstructing justice); it accounts for the difficulty in prosecuting OJ for murder (as circumstantial evidence (like the glove) doesn't fit; no powder burns; not in possession of murder weapon... why change gun?). A really effective decoy; hard to convict if he didn't commit the murders and OJ had only a few hours to come up with the plan. I'm sure I'm not the first to suggest this; there was a documentary that named OJ's step son (who died in the Bahamas later). I'm not interested in his love life; or why some people are attracted murderers; his reputation is trashed, the second he took the media and police for a hayride he was complicit. I won't contest that being a millionaire superstar or being hit in the head playing American football doesn't make you crazy; I doubt anything will be gained by a new prosecution; the media have their man.
