  1. Peter Z is just a PR man for "globalism" (which only seems to work on paper and benefit a very select few). China has such a large domestic population that subtracting the entire population of America (341,814,420 as of 05/08/2024) and they would still have over a billion people! A few years ago we were all supposed to be deeply concerned about World over-population, overburdening Earth's finite resources (but that doesn't suit PZ's current narrative); overpopulation is a serious problem for China so the government has tried to address this. On the supply side: they don't produce enough rice (banned exports; importing more Russia grain); not enough water (built dams and reservoirs); overuse of coal, clogging up the rail network and the air (building 27 heavy-water nuclear power-stations); too many people (one-child policy etc). These are all attempts by China to resolve a growing problem; PZ claims this is bad; PZ is wrong. Why American's should be encouraged to worry about the Chinese economy when: America's national debt is around $35 Trillion (plus interest); it's manufacturing base was largely exported and public money is diverted into arms production and foreign "charity" suggest to me it's their government and the globalists that instead "live in interesting times". How to reduce population is a thorny problem; perhaps a nuclear war is the globalist solution (makes sense on paper); but I wouldn't worry about China and I doubt they require any advice on economics from: America; their oligarchs or the WEF. PZ is "barking up the wrong tree"; China are proactive (not reactive) and have been in business a long long time... It's simple enough to increase population; in the Soviet era, have a kid win a radio. Truth is China needs to reduce (1.412 Billion population). PZ is just publishing garbage.
