@mstar7520 Well something is definitely upsetting Peter Z and if it's not just Tucker C getting more attention; then it's something rather sinister indeed. In my view what Tucker C did, is what we used to call investigative journalism; Peter Z saying ignore this and let me tell you what to think, is not. It's actually rather insulting to claim the viewer can't think for themselves; his attempt at smearing is pretty weak and (imo) it rather looks like Peter Z is an insubstantial "globalist company man" (CIA?). At least we can see PZ's true colors now (he's either mad or bad); that's why it's a good thing to hear people talk and to form our own opinions. In my opinion, he's the shill.

I thought it was the CIA (really)

@kasseesmythe8738 It actually isn't about T Carlson, really (that's just a diversion); while those now claiming he's not a journalist, or disreputable, should be regarded with some suspicion. I've never been a fan of FOX or CNN (they are politically biased "msm"; different sides of the same coin; preaching to the converted usually); whether Carlson is truly an independent journalist just asking questions seems to be a matter of some debate. The real question is, did he ask the questions to which you wanted answers? I thought the translator did an excellent job (and can't be blamed for anything); no cuts or editing of a two hour interview was helpful; he definitely asked some searching questions, was more respectful than the msm towards the Russian leader and Russia (not difficult); while I would bet T Carlson just experienced a major culture shock. People saying don't watch the interview I regard as very dubious characters; the msm are clearly keen to control the narrative; thing is, I don't need their opinions. On the face of it; I regarded the interview as a triumph of independent journalism (it even happening); I'm actually enjoying the msm and PZ's discomfort (schadenfreude). I Don't think that makes me a bad person; Peter Z and his "Putin's Puppet Show" seems disingenuous, to me; but since he uses these terms, I think I can see his strings.

@kasseesmythe8738 I don't think the corporate media (msm) are paying presenters millions to be journalists; or for their skill at reading an auto-cue; it seems they are given their own show and act as "media influencers" (like Peter Z here) and form part of the company brand. I'm still looking for the opportunity to be fired from a job paying $54 million a year (Carlson) or even £24 million (Maddow); although I recognize it's a full time job (24/7); the corporations have something to sell, so if the ratings or viewing figures drop shows get cancelled. I consider Carlson "independent" simply because FOX fired him; while what he was doing in the interview used to be called "investigative journalism"; but since: there are high production values; to even get into Russia requires a "sponsor" (usually a local travel agent); it took quite a lot of effort to arrange this (I didn't think it was going to happen). What question would you have asked? Carlson asked about: the conflict with Ukraine; religion; freeing an American citizen/journalist; even who blew up the alternative gas (Russia/German) supply pipelines (and was told "you did"; that's Russian humor; further saying it was the same agency that rejected Carlson). A lot of questions I already knew the answer (but had to be asked). Politicians (here) are well known for avoiding issues; they aren't particularly popular and we will no doubt see a lot of "spin" from rival msm as elections draw near. The interview was mainly about the Russian viewpoint; we may agree, or disagree, with it but that was the point. The msm (and Peter Z's employer) may be at war with Putin but it's actually Russia that is at war! (and it seems to be mainly with the foreign transnational corporations, one's interested in grain and a gas-pipeline; in my opinion). I thought Carlson did a pretty good job; like the interpreter didn't get in the way; now he gets to face the "backlash". (over a 100 million views; give the public what they want!?) Compared to Peter Z; it seemed more honest; just a guy asking the leader of a nuclear superpower 11 time zones wide, some questions. I doubt he can be bullied. So now we know re-Ukraine; either it's neutral or it's war with Russia but that was basically the same agreement (2014). So that wasn't "news".

@innocentbystander8038 I regard Jorden Peterson as outstanding in his own field (Psychology); but I don't agree with his political views much at all; while Tucker Carlson was just asking the questions; it's up to the viewer to form their own opinions. While Peter Z just gave himself away; with his hysterical plea not to watch; looks like he's a "company man"; making him the shill (hoisted by his own petard). Very revealing!
