@bobs_toys Chinese government obviously wants to reduce the population (1.4 Billion is a lot to feed); Peter say's that bad and that's because he doesn't understand much about China. He predicts China will collapse economically in a generation, that's about 14 years; this is clickbait... look at the state of America, he won't. He's just a globalist PR rep.

@bobs_toys What I'm saying is that Peter Z is obviously a PR man for the American establishment; overpopulation; pollution and distribution of resources are matters that need to be addressed and his predictions of China's economic collapse (in a generation) just looking at the GDP PPP is laughable. His latest target is Mexico (doomed they are...) and while I don't know much about that country, I know a bit about China and Russia (having lived and worked there) and it's clear to me Peter Z doesn't. It's much easier to look after the elderly when a country has state funded heath; education and runs a trade surplus. There is also a peculiar notion in the capitalist West that the elderly are something of a liability (although we often see politicians way past retirement age, that are) this does not necessarily follow; particularly as people can now work from home. Odd isn't tho' that with all the labour saving gadgets; increased automation and improvements in technology that life seems to be getting harder for many here? Poor management of resources seems to be the problem. All I was saying was that China needs to reduce population or it will exceed available resources; Peter says that's bad (or catastrophic); so Peter needs to stop trying to blow smoke up our bottoms and take a good look at America before criticising others. Just look at the homelessness, you don't get that in Russia or China; it's socially unacceptable!

@bobs_toys In the case of China it's clear the government is trying hard to reduce the population; that's mainly to do with avoiding food shortages if the population keeps growing; but according to Peter Z that's not only a bad thing but China will collapse. So either he doesn't understand the concept of overpopulation, or (more likely) he's signed up to the globalist agenda and takes every opportunity to talk other countries down. (All China needs to do is cancel the one child policy to increase population) In the last week or two, according to Peter Z: Russia; China; France; India and most of Africa are finished. Seems unlikely to me. He's getting the nickname "The Profit of Doom".
