Terrence Howard was a shitty actor in it, the rest were good though. Heath Ledgar didnt like it either, since he was in Brokeback Mountain. u know what he did to one of the actors that was in Crash? when William Fichtner started work at a bank, Heath Ledgar dressed up as the Joker, robbed the bank, and put a gas grenade in his mouth

He then takes the money not knowing that Anton Chigurh wants that money, as he was hired to find it for the cartel, but he shoots the people who hire him. Dialogue was good. I don't know how you could think it was awful, let alone bad. Stale and bland? Stick to Michael Bay films if this was "stale and bland" NO character development? I think you should watch it again. There is some character development in Anton Chigurh.

It made him chilling, and his dgaf attitude made scenes with him much more tense because he has no morals. He wasn't supposed to be likeable. But he is very memorable because you can't see eye to eye with him, and since he comes out on top in the end.

It fit the subject matter well since it wasn't a very dramatic storyline. Just a bunch of suspense. The suspense was done well via the editing, the sound, the lack of music (which can ruin the suspense of a scene if present) to imply danger at every moment. The Coen brothers directed it, paying attention to a lot of little details. Such as at the end, when Chigurh may or may not have killed Carla Jean. When he walks out the door and is standing on the porch, he looks at the bottom of his shoes. He's checking for blood, because we know he doesn't like getting blood on his shoes when he killed Carson Wells. It implies that he did actually kill Carla Jean.

You make it seem like it's overhyped because of it's nominations. If not, then you communicated that they were two separate ideas poorly. 4. Whiplash is not a documentary so don't discredit it for being "dishonest" 5. Stereotype can be used as an action or a verb but it is not used as an adjective. 6. Whiplash doesn't throw jazz music under the bus.
