Some neighborhoods are better for that than others, so police visit more often, "finding" more crime. There's nothing inherently racist about going after crime, so it's not like there's a racist law that can be changed. That's how systemic racism works, a dominant ethnicity uses the system to discriminate against a less dominant ethnicity. Police deal with different ethnicities differently. If you survey white people, most of them think the cops aren't that corrupt. Survey everybody else you'll get less confidence. You're living in a state of denial calling other people "crazy."

The data they've released shows then number going down over the last decade. If we don't plan long term, we end up overreacting to aberrations. When the number was almost 2 million, there was a crisis. That's why border security was improved. Now the biggest number of illegals arrive legally, so a wall won't stop them. It's just not a good way to spend money if you want to reduce illegal immigration. Drugs crossing the border also won't be deterred by a wall. The economy requires that many people can regularly cross the border or enter the country by other methods with ease. The suspect in the fentanyl case you mention was a member of the Fast and Secure Trade program so obviously nobody's climbing a fence with a bag of drugs in your example.
