Are the left picking up American citizens in unmarked vans then illegally detaining them? I would hope most people who aren't American could see right through the imaginary left/right divide that keeps the two corporate parties in power, but apparently there are gullible people in other countries as well. You're not required to wear identification to protest. The masks are something you're just going to have to deal with, if authorities are bringing tear gas and riot gear, you bet protesters will wear protection.

@alfredoflores6566 Well ACAB is a little closer to the truth, since it requires the cooperation of all cops to let the bad ones do what they like. I was denied justice by a couple bad cops, good cops wouldn't do anything to help me because then their report would make the initial cop look bad or lazy. Then there's the quotas that aren't supposed to exist. When you keep finding bad apples there's a problem with the orchard. When it comes to antifa I'll bet some of them are hooligans, like any group with a lot of young bozos. I don't see BLM condoning looting, where I sure as Hell can see cops turn a blind eye to protect thugs.

@alfredoflores6566 The police had plenty opportunities to clean themselves up, they've resisted for decades, that's the whole reason this is happening now. If good cops outnumber bad cops then it should have been pretty easy to come up with good community relations. Instead cops have quotas which aren't even legal, and if they speak out against the force they get all kinds of punishment. It's a publicly funded gang, essentially. They have a subculture that goes far beyond what we pay and expect them to do. I'm not demonizing anyone, if the good cops can't do anything because of bad cops, that's a huge problem that needs to be rectified immediately. We're not talking about calling people gang-bangers for their fashion sense, we're talking about police who have a duty to serve and protect us. Was I served by the cop who didn't want to make trouble with the biker gang that sells coke and meth? Or was he enforcing the status quo?

The whole point of defunding the police is to reduce crime. I thought Trump was a "law and order" President, but he doesn't want to reduce crime and help communities?

Yeah I certainly couldn't put on a costume and buy a minivan, then pretend to be a federal agent and kidnap people. Impossible, the minivan alone is too much for a person to afford, then costumes would be maybe 100 dollars? Then there's the guns everybody already has, yup, impossible.

@pumpkinface8151 I can't really testify to what "they" are doing, as that's a group you define. From what I've seen is people are protesting a system that promotes racist policies, protects racist cops, and puts way too many people in jail. The other part is asking for defunding so crime can be reduced in the first place. That's how I see it. Obviously some have been hit harder by this system than others, they may have a grudge. Others are just troublemakers. Should they all be arrested so streets are quiet? Like they used to be in East Germany?

@pumpkinface8151 The "bad apple" analogy is perfect when you add the rest: "a few bad apples spoils the whole bunch." If you leave bad apples with good apples, after a while you have 100 percent bad apples. That's how the expression came to be. A few bad apples isn't a problem you tolerate, you have to get rid of all the bad apples immediately. That's what didn't happen, and now we have a bad orchard. Unfortunately you're wrong, racist policy was written into law, and you can find many examples. The "stop and frisk" policy is one, imagine being able to define who looks "suspicious." Is it the nicely clothed white folks who look like you, or the dark ones in the funny clothes that listen to something that clearly isn't music? That's up to the individual? Okay, it's an accident that all those dark people were acting suspicious, and their neighborhoods are "bad" (so officers need to spend more time there to fill quotas). Seems like you don't know anything about defunding the police, so I'll wait until you at least google it before I address any concerns you have. If some members of antifa prefer communism to corporate welfare, I don't blame them, nor do I care. Communism isn't popular in America and won't be. It's nothing but a dog whistle to indicate to your masters you've taken decades of propaganda to heart. That's a good thing, because they probably won't track you knowing you don't possess enough brainpower to think for yourself.

@pumpkinface8151 Watch "Crime + Punishment." You can see good cops being punished by bad cops for trying to fight the systemic racism. A couple minutes of searching should yield you a few stories from cops about how the system works. If you're ignorant at this point that's on you.
