And the F35 is a stealth fighter while this plane stand no chance against a 5th generation fighter with the most powerful fighter engine that has ever been produced. The Spitfire could never sneak into Irainian air space undetected and destroy targets like Israeli F35 jets can. F35 got a kill ratio of 1 to 78 - which is far better than almost any other plane including Spitfire. Buying a Spitfire would be more expensive than a F35 since losses of Spitfires would be very high, and so much money would be lost on building planes that gets shot down, while F35 is cheaper in the long run. Spitfire is a cheap junk propeller plane while F35 is a modern spy plane with an advanced helmet sight for its pilots. A plane capable of vertical take offs. 5th generation fighters have made other planes obsolete.

@doomedt-62 It saddens me when people try to make silly comparisons to destroy serious discussions. We are talking about military planes here and not boats.
