  1. @Vladimir Fomin They have Scandinavian blood in their veins. Putin says that they are Russians. But that is not any more true than that they are Swedes. With Putins own logic can one say that both Russia and Ukraine should belong to Sweden because it is our "historic lands" since back of the days of the Kyiv-Rus empire that was founded and ruled by Swedish vikings. If you think this idea sounds insane, then you must also think that Putins view is insane for the same reason. I for my part recognize that Ukraine is an old country with very long historical roots - it is a country with a longer history than Russia.

  2. Swedish vikings founded both Ukraine and Russia, with the creation of the Kingdom Kyiv-Rus. Ukraine is having its old democratic traditions and brave viking blood in it. While mother Russia is the ugly child that Mother Svea wish that she never had given birth to. Russia have always been barbaric, authoritarian, undemocratic, warmongering, and opressive.

But did that magically turn Finns into Swedes? I bet most Finns don't think so. Same goes for Ukraine. Just because a people have been living under the rule of a foreign power a long time does not mean that the etnical group automatically cease to exist. The Ukrainians still see themselves as Ukrainians and not as Russians. Even Russian speaking Ukrainians see themselves as Ukrainians.

The Ukrainian people have existed for a long time. And their want for independence is an old thing. Ivan Mazepa wanted Ukraine to break free from Russia 300 years ago. And we Swedes helped Ukraine fight for their independence. But their struggle eventually got crushed by Tsar Peter. So your claim that this is a new thing is just total nonsense. Its just ignorance of history. And Mazepa is not the only independence fighter in Ukrainian history either. They also wanted to break free from Polish rule, when their country laid under the Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth. Indeed the Ukrainian national anthem named "Shche ne vmerla Ukrainy i slava, i volia" ('The glory and freedom of Ukraine has not yet perished) was written back in the 1860s. So the Ukrainian wish for independence is far older than 100 years.

So Russia got its name from Swedish vikings. That proves that Russia should belong to Sweden and that it is Swedish historic lands.

  6. In Sweden you will see Ukrainian flags in front of all the museums in Stockholm. People have an Ukrainian flag on their facebook profile. For me its not about virtue signaling. I want Ukrainians to know that we back them up. And I like to piss off the Russians by stubbornly carrying that flag and thereby see all my contempt for Putin.

  7. Dicipline falls apart if the troops are not allowed to plunder to become happy... And dicipline falls apart if the "soldiers" starts to focus more on plundering and stealing booze to get drunk rather than focusing on fighting a war. Ukrainian troops should when they retreat leave Sergei and Boris their own vodka bottle as a gift. Soon they will start to drink and drive off the road, pass out, and getting a headache, vomit and getting a hangover and being too sleepy to fight back against a Ukrainian counter attack.

  10. They have destroyed 1500 tanks - which is about 3 years of Russian tank production. 2000 trucks and 3000 armored vehicles have also been destroyed. Russia is losing men and material. They no longer have many modern tanks left so they use old T-62 tanks instead, and 20% of their professional soldiers have been died, and now they are forced to compensate their losses somehow - which is not easy without a mobilization, Russia is now so desperate that they now are even willing to push 50 year olds into service, and forcefully conscript illoyal manpower from the occupied Ukrainian territories to fill the ranks. And those units are armed with outdated world war 2 rifles. There has been a tough week for Ukraine. But now have a retreat been done and both in the east and south have Ukraine now finally built a strong defensive line on excellent terrain. And the only way to push through for an attacker is to suffer gigantic losses. Time is now ticking and Ukraine gets more and more western material and more reservist manpower. If Russia continues to charge it will bleed itself to death.

  11. Russia can just f off and go home. They have no right to steal. They have no right to break international law which all other countries have to follow. They will learn the hard way. They can try to use nuclear weapons - but that will only lead to the extinction of the Russian gene pool when Nato retaliates. They can try a conventional war and getting utterly destroyed. Russia is a cowardly coutnry and will therefore never go to war with Nato. So no, WW3 will not happen. And giving away land to Russia for peace is pointless. They gave away Crimea in 2014, but that never created any lasting peace we can see today... What says that if Russia gets Donbass, that it will not try to attack Ukraine again within another 8 years? So therefore is the only option left to fight Russia now and not later when Ukraine will be even weaker and Russia had the chance to recover from her losses. It is time to fight and kick as hard as one possibly can. Being kind to Russia gives no rewards at all.

  14. The Soviet troops who invaded nazi Germany thought that toilets were used for cleaning potatoes. A Hungarian woman got a bunch of Soviet soldiers breaking into her home. They got hungry and decided to clean their potatoes in the toilet water. One guy flushed the toilet so some of the potatoes "dissapeared". That made this hungry guy so angry that he decided to smash her toilet to pieces... And when Soviet troops invaded Finland during the winter war they did often walk into empety homes of Finns who had fled. And then they used to homes to take cover from the cold. And since they did not know what a toilet was... did they often just carve up a hole into the floor where they could take a 💩. And other times did they just 💩 on the floor. So when a Finnish family moved back to there home it was usually in a terrible condition.

  15. Germany occupied most of western Russian in 1941. 60% of Russia's GDP laid in German hands. But lend lease came to Russia. And the invader was beaten back. But people like you would of course have said that it would be pointless to continue to fight. So much land had been lost that further resistence would be hopeless. Better to just give up. That is what people like you have said back in 1941.

But considering how the Russia behave I feel no need to show them any respect or need to take them seriously. So this time around I think the Ukrainian TV got away with it 😂😂
