  4. You forgot one very important point. Ukraine needs to show a victory before the election in USA. Now have USA given a very large aid package in May, and some people do eagerly expect some results. Especially with some fighter jets coming. Personally do I think that those expectations and this harmful unhelpful pressure on Ukraine to perform have made Ukraine very eager to score some propaganda victory. The election in America will likely decide the outcome of this war. I guess that a victory for Biden means a 85% for Ukraine to win this war. And a victory for Trump would mean a 85% chance for ruSSia to win this war.

  5. Russia is in a dilemma. They either have to stop this border incursion by taking troops from other areas to do so, or let Ukraine keep on advancing deeper and deeper into russia and take more land. Of course does it not matter if russia lose land because it already have so much of it. But if Ukraine capture russian military stockpiles and can threaten Moscow and take nuclear plants and starts reaching railway lines and destroy military airbases then things would become hard for russia. So russia will then be forced to commit forces to this region. The overstrained logistics and russian glide bombs could pose a problem to the Ukrainians to keep this conquered land. But Ukraine could if it wants use scorched earth tactics when it makes a retreat, and wreck all railway lines, blow up all bridges, ruin all airfields, mine all roads, and take all toilets with them back to Ukraine as they retreat. And this could have some long term consequences for russia. As they then no longer will have any good starting position for launching any military offensives into Ukraine from North east.
