  1. I don't think they would be able to hold it. There are not many buildings left that can protect you against the weather. This might be less of a problem now in the summer, but still. I also think that abandoning this place will not be looked kindly upon the russians considering how many thousands of men they have wasted for this worthless piece of land. It would be demoralizing than giving up hamburger hill to just pullout from it without a fight. And given russias long historical track record of accepting high losses for the most dumbest things, would it not surprise me if they rather let a garrison get encircled and lost than giving up the place for free.

  2. No one the west feels like Ukraine is losing right now. That is the impression that I get. The only one who seems to think so is you, but nor do I think you come from the west either. Your army have been fighting for one and half year now. You have still not been able to capture a single city out of the 22 biggest cities in Ukraine, and meanwhile have you lost 200K men and thousands of vehicles and are being sanctioned and freezed out from the international community. Your crappy military are taking losses and is forced to push ancient tanks and rifles into service to cover your losses. While Ukraine's military power is growing each day with more weapon shipments from the west. You push 75 year old tanks and 130 year olf hunting rifles into use by your troops. While Ukraine are using some of the most modern tanks in the world like Challanger2, Stridsvagn 122, Leopard2A6. And artillery pieces like Panzerhaubitze 2000, Caesar, Archer and IFVs like CV90. It will be fun to see how well your old grandpa junk will stand up against a modern fighting force. People are getting their popcorns and prepare to once again laugh at you.

  4. Their invasion is going according to plan. After about 450 days of the war and they still havn't taken any of the 22 largest cities in Ukraine. Much losses have been taken. The country is under heavy sanctions. And this is what Russia have to show for it. Of course they have to pump the victory at Bakhmut like it was some important victory, because this war have been an embaressing failure from the start.
