I can respect royals who abdicate and don't get a penny from the tax payers. But people like this are just worthy of contempt. I feel sorry for the Queen, she is so old now have deal with all this shit... on top of the Andrew scandal, and all anger and divide around Brexit. She have sacrificed her life for serving the country, and now in the end she have to see shit like this. I hope someone pulls the break here so they don't get a single £.

The should be a politically neutral representative of country abroad. And when a country is divided they can work as a unifying force. And they also represent a continuity of the country where the old country meets the new, a country might have been founded on feudal monarchist traditions, but the country is a democracy today. So traditions and a proud past meets the modern new time where the country is ruled as a democracy and there is no nobility. The country also gets an excuse for holding military parades for birthdays and weddings and can show off its old military uniforms and traditions. In the past did royals also marry with monarchs from other countries, so they could act as an important diplomatic link between countries to preserve the peace... Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany was for example a relative of both the Russian Tsar and the British royal family when World war 1 broke out. Their part in the traditions of the country gives more legitimacy to political decisions, when they are also backed up also by the old rulers of the country, and not just some arbitrarily elected politicians.

NHS, and state owned railroads, prisons, military, fire department, energy grid etc are good forms of socialism that I like and the EU are against those things. Bad forms of socialism are EUs eager to over-regulate the economy and to provide protection to sectors of an economy not worth defending - like Common Agricultural policy. And if we are going to help our farmers with subsidies then you could at least do it in a good way - which the EU doesn't. Right-wingers would perhaps want a highly efficient competitive agriculture even if it means "big companies" taking over. While left-winger would want small farms for the sake of national self-sufficiency, a living countryside, environmental sustainability etc. The EU however even fails from both points of view since its subsidies goes to keeping unprofitable farms alive and most of the subsidies and laws benefits large farmers at the expense of the small. EUs help to big banks by stealing tax money from the poor is another example of socialism for the rich.

What damage? I as a foreigner do not hate Britain for leaving. If others do, then that is saying a lot more about them than about Britain. I do no consider fucktards like Tusk and Verhofstadt to represent my views. So Britains diplomatic reputation is intact. And what is so horrible to write your own laws? Common law is still one of the most important legal traditions in the world regardless if Britain leaves or not. And there are plenty of economists on both left and right who voted for leave. The only damage Britain have had, is the sour climate inside of Britain. And that is entirely the fault of whiny remainers who cannot accept the result of democracy when it is not going their way. Britain is a big country and will do fine. EU fascism is unecessary and brings nothing good. And there are also other forms of international cooperation you can do if you feel like it, and there are plenty of examples of that - UN, IMF; NATO, WTO, Interpol, etc and even if you do not get a trade deal with the EU, then so what? The EU could trade with USA, Japan, Brazil, China, India and other countries for years even without a trade deal. Because then do WTO rules apply. Britain will probably get better trade deals with other powers when it negotiate on its own... instead of having to waterdown every deal by compromises with 28 different countries, different political factions, and listen to different economic interest groups and lobby groups before coming to any conclusion.... and there you also have the reason why the EU always needs so much fucking time to negotiate trade deals, and why it is almost imposstible to change old agreements. When Britain can talk to other countries directly without middlemen then things get simpler and more effeicent for both parties. And UK is a big market, so you got some leverage.
