Vance reminds me of the caracther Eichmann in the conspiracy movie https://youtu.be/uFYYCTMa4xM?si=Gn45VY4l7Ak0cvvQ&t=13 He is just an unrefined brute carrying an uniform/nice clothes and holding a high position of power that he is totally undeserving of. He got no morality at all. He just do anything his superiors tell him, regardless how much damage and deaths it causes. He got no problem with lying constantly. The only thing he respects is power, and he is only condescending towards those less powerful than himself.
