  1. Goebbles had strong antisemitic views even before the nazis got into power. And he talked about extermination (Ausrott) of the jews in his "totaler kieg speech". They guy shurely know what was going on and he was in favor of it. Some nazis did not like the killing jews, but Goebbles was not one of them, on the contrary was it probably he togheter with Hitler, Heydrich and Himmler who were the ones most influencial in pushing Germany towards a policy of mass murder.

  2. His speech is rethorically well designed and worth learning from. Its his masterpiece. Otherwise do I think nazi speeches and propaganda are overrated. Sure Riefenstahl was talented but everyone else wasn't. The movies about Frederick are boring and not historically correct. The speeches of Hitler are not intellectual. The movie comparing jews with rats was boring and will not convince anyone to become a nazi or begin hating jews. Both Goebbels and Hitler are overrated speakers.

  3. To answer your original question. Did he know? I answer yes he did. But I don't remember the source here and now. And as you could see from all other parts of the puzzle it does seem likely that he didn't mind the mass murder policy.
